THE BIRTHDAY
OF MY WIFE
(2000)
Tomorrow is
the birthday of my wife,
Who has added spice to my life.
Seventy she will be, and fifty of those
She has spent with me.
How lucky
can one be,
To have a wife of seventy?
Think of all the times we've had,
And of all that's made us glad!
This little
ditty,
Is not so pretty,
Yet, it took only minutes five
To come alive!

ANOTHER
BIRTHDAY
(2002)
Sunday,
October 27th
Is the birthday of my wife,
Who will celebrate
Seventy-two years of life.
A year or so
ago
Her heart began to slow.
So surgery was in view
And her heart, Dr. Horowitz did renew.
Oh, dear
Helen, wife o' mine
How well you do shine,
Even when the sun is not out,
Your strength and beauty walk about!
The menial
tasks you do
Each day of your life,
Like putting my socks on me
Because you are my wife.
I promised
To take care of you,
But most of the caring
Is now up to you.

The above
poems were written by C. Douglas Caffey for his wife Helen in
years gone by.
The song you hear playing is called,
"He Had It Planned Long Ago"
and the words to the song
are below.
I really believe Andrew Culverwell must have
written the song just for Doc and Helen and yet they never met.
Happy
Birthday Helen!
May you have a beautiful, glorious birthday! |

He Had
It Planned Long Ago
A
wedding hymn
words and music by
Andrew Culverwell of Great Britain
We come to a
moment so great in our lives,
We look at each other, with tears in our eyes,
So thankful to God for this moment in time,
But he had it planned long ago.
He holds the heavens in space, the world in its place;
The mountains and valleys are all His, we know.
A man and a woman, a love that's forever, yes,
He had it planned long ago.
Today there's the question: "how long will it last,
How soon will the joy of this moment be past?"
The answer is, "Never" if we really know
That He had it planned long ago.
He holds the
heavens in space, the world in its place;
The mountains and valleys are all His, we know.
A man and a woman, a love that's forever, yes,
He had it planned long ago.
There's nobody greater than God up above,
He'll keep us together with His great arms of love.
And we'll never be lonely on earth, here below,
For He had it planned long ago.
He holds the
heavens in space, the world in its place;
The mountains and valleys are all His, we know.
A man and a woman, a love that's forever, yes,
He had it planned long ago.
He holds the
heavens in space, the world in its place;
The mountains and valleys are all His, we know.
A man and a woman, a love that's forever, yes,
He had it planned long ago.
Oh, yes, He had
it planned long ago.
