Freedom is a precious entity

As all vets surely know,

Who fought the enemy in jungle heat

And in the cold and blowing snow.

In the air; on the ground.

Or on the foaming sea,

Veterans, one and all

Died to keep us free!

So, on this Christmas Day of 2002

My hat is off to you,

For all you did so long ago

When you were known as G.I. Joe!
