Oh Writer with

your pen in hand

Your words convey

so sweet!

Without the aid

of a single touch

nor tender voice

to speak!

Tonight I read

One single thought

that swirled amid

your mind

And I beheld

your tenderness

A Soul that's

sweet and kind!

And even though

you did not hold

These lonely hands

To-night

And even though

I did not see

your eyes that shone

So bright -

Remember this

My dearest friend

Your poem did touch

me so!

And the Lovely

"Eyes of Another"

Gazed upon

my soul.
